Agilent's pioneering spirit was kindled more than 70 years ago, when two engineers - Bill
Hewlett and Dave Packard - invented the future in their garage.
In 1999, Agilent was spun off from Hewlett-Packard Company,
taking over test and measurement devices,
and chemical analysis.
In Japan, one of the world's leading
countries in semiconductor and communications technologies,
Agilent Technologies is at the leading edge of research and
development. One of a very few global companies to have R&D
facilities in this country, Agilent Japan has invented and
developed many of the technologies and products that dominate
worldwide markets today. This includes the Semiconductor
Parametric Tester and the Electronic component tester.
Agilent's focus on Diversity &
Work/Life creates a competitive advantage for our employees,
company, and competitors. One of our basic organizational
values is trust and respect for individuals. Every day, at
all levels, we strive to create an environment where each
individual is included and valued. This environment enables
all Agilent employees to develop, and contribute, to their
full potential.

Place to Work on all levels, Agilent Japan provides
our employees with an excellent working environment, including

and activities to help employees manage commitments in their
work and personal life. This includes a variety of tools, such
as our "Flexibility Practices" (started in 1967)
that are designed to help employees save time, energy, and
